From RFP to Successful Bid Defence. Biomapas Redefines Oncology Trial Strategy with TrialHub, Winning Sponsor’s Trust.
The Client
Biomapas is a global strategic partner for biopharmaceutical and medical device companies, offering comprehensive clinical research services across high-recruiting countries (EU, CEE, EAEU). Their one-stop-shop capabilities encompass the entire development lifecycle, including Early Phase Regulatory, Consulting, Study Planning, Start-up, Execution and Close Out.
The Challеnge
Biomapas was working on an RFP for a challenging First-in-Human (FiH) Phase 1a/b Oncology trial with a complex target population. The Biomapas Clinical Strategy team was under time constraint to develop and defend country/site selection and distribution, ensuring study completion within the Sponsor’s key milestones.
The Approach
Coupled with Biomapas’s experience and existing KOLs relationships, TrialHub allowed Biomapas to present a robust evidence-based clinical strategy.
On top of their existing data and expertise, Biomapass trusted TrialHub to help them:
- Understand the epidemiology of the indication, which supported the country selection process.
- Identify benchmark metrics based on similar trials like median number of sites per trial, average recruitment rate, recruitment rate per country, startup timelines, and competition.
The Outcome
Biomapas was able to present a robust, evidence-based strategy to the sponsor at the last stage of bidding. The TrialHub dashboard showed that similar studies had an average of 11 sites and that most of them experienced much higher delay in recruitment than projected. This played a significant part in persuading the client that the proposed strategy is feasible and justified by figures.
