3 Times Less Resources, More Results: Palleos Healthcare’s Feasibility Success Story

The Client

Palleos Healthcare is a full-service CRO based in Germany, driven by a commitment to advancing global medicine by reducing drug development timelines and expanding patient access to new treatments. Their work is grounded in deep care for both their partners and the patients they ultimately serve.

The Challange

Before having TrialHub on board, Palleos Healthcare struggled with time-consuming and fragmented data collection processes when assessing current and competing clinical trials. They had to manually gather information from various national registries or directly from investigators, none of which was structured, making it difficult to generate timely insights. This inefficiency required multiple team members from different countries just to process data, stretching resources and increasing operational costs.

The Approach

To streamline feasibility assessments, Palleos Healthcare integrated TrialHub into their process, using the platform to access structured, real-time data on recruitment rates, trial activity, and site availability across Europe.

By analyzing clinical trials initiated over the past five years, they could accurately forecast enrollment expectations and identify countries and sites best suited for specific indications.

TrialHub proved especially valuable for rare disease studies, such as ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and hyperoxaluria, where traditional data sources are limited. With a prevalence of just 1 in 1,000,000 patients, hyperoxaluria presents significant challenges in identifying suitable trial sites. TrialHub helped pinpoint sites actively working with these patients, allowing the team to respond quickly to the sponsor requests with country and site-level insights without needing additional feasibility resources. This ultimately increased their credibility in front of sponsors through data-backed proposals.

The Outcome

By using TrialHub, Palleos Healthcare reduced the needed human resources for feasibility assessments by two thirds, saving time, cutting costs, and enabling a single team member  to efficiently manage multiple feasibility assessments simultaneously without overload.

They also received positive sponsor feedback thanks to the accuracy and reliability of TrialHub’s data.
